Spring Challenge: Unicorn Magic Day

Happy Unicorn Magic Day!! For today on The Purple Crumpet Fairy Challenge, my task was to create a magical mani. I made this challenge hard, because I really wanted to try painting a unicorn for the first time. I also love this challenge because I used one of my new favorite Lacquistry polishes on it!

To create this mani, I used China Glaze Bahamian Escape as my base color. I added LOTS of magic by using Lacquistry Undertow~ an amazing glittery lacquer created by the wonderful Jenna.

Here is my manicure in honor of Unicorn Magic Day:

Spring Challenge: Your Favorite Spring Lilac

Happy Tuesday Lovely Lacquerheads and Welcome to my newest followers. If you live in the US and haven't entered my Awesome 100 Follower Giveaway for three totally cool polishes, click here to enter now!

For today on The Purple Crumpet Fairy Challenge, my task was to create a mani with my favorite spring lilac. Since I have been allergic to lilacs for as long as I can remember, I went with the safe choice and picked a lavendar lilac. (A-choo!)

I used China Glaze Kinetic Candy as my base. The stems were L.A. Colors Art Deco in Bright Green. The lovely lilacs were made using CG Coconut Kiss, Gothic Lolita, and Sweet Hook.

Here are my Spring Lilacs:
For these 2 pics, I used natural lighting.
For these last 2 shots, I used artificial lighting.
Can you tell that they are lilacs?

Spring Challenge: Blossom Trees

Hello Lovelies! For today on The Purple Crumpet Fairy Challenge, my task was to paint the gorgeous blossom tree. I've always wanted to do a manicure like this, so I was extra happy to see it on our challenge list!

To create my mani, I used China Glaze Re-Fresh-Mint as my base color. I added the branches and blossoms using CG Street Chic, White on White, and Dance Baby. I'm getting a LOT of mileage out of CG Dance Baby~ it has quickly become my 'go-to' pink for everything! ^.^

Here are my Blossom Trees:
Have you done a blossom tree mani before? They are so much fun to create and to wear!

Spring Challenge: Spring Sunrise

Good morning, dear readers!

For today on The Purple Crumpet Fairy Challenge, my task was to create a Spring Sunrise. This was definitely a challenge...I think I redid these at least 3x before I came up with this design. It feels like a spring sunrise over water.(?). >.<

For this mani, I used China Glaze Coconut Kiss, Dance Baby, Something Sweet, Sweet Hook, and Spontaneous. Don't the names all sound kinda fun together?

Here's what I came up with. Does it look like a spring sunrise to you?

Lacquistry Road Rash

Hello Lovelies & a great big welcome to all my new followers! ^.^

Today I want to share with you the divine Lacquistry polish called Road Rash. The beauty of this lacquer is that it can be layered over a variety of base colors or used entirely alone.

For this mani, I chose to layer Road Rash over one coat of China Glaze Admire.
Have you tried Lacquistry Road Rash? Jenna makes some of the best quality polishes you can buy, so if you haven't checked her out yet, I highly recommend it.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastical day! As always,
Happy Lacquering! =)

Spring Challenge: Spring Clean

For today on The Purple Crumpet Fairy Challenge, my task is a Spring Clean. I'm to choose an 'out of season' color for my mani, so I picked the very autumn-like China Glaze Life Preserver.

However, once I had CG Life Preserver on, the urge to add Lacquistry 24k Shredded overcame me...so I added some pizzaz to my mani. (Shocker, huh?)

Here are pics of CG Life Preserver with some extra flair:

Dotted Lines

Hi everyone! Today I want to share my Dotted Line mani with you. I have been enjoying my Zoya polishes very much~they are still "new" to me, as I am more apt to buy China Glaze. However, I have been thrilled with my Zoyas and I look forward to adding a few more to my collection.

For this mani, I used Zoya Dita for my base color and I added a coat of Pretty & Polished Nova for a touch of depth. I used China Glaze White on White and It's So Easy by Stripe Rite in White for the lines and dots.

Here is my finished product:
I wish my camera would've let me capture the holo from P&P's Nova.

Dry Brush Look

Hello lovely readers! I hope the sun is shining wherever you are. At my house, the pond may be frozen, but the birds are chirping and the sun is bright. That right there is enough to make my day! ^.^

For the mani I want to share with you, I used China Glaze Sweet Hook as my base color and I sealed it with Seche Vite. Then I used CG Coconut Kiss to complete the look.

Here's how it turned out:
I applied quick, semi-dry brushstrokes of Coconut Kiss to achieve this effect.
Have you tried this before? It's really fun and easy.

Thanks for stopping by and as always, Happy Lacquering! =)
